The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury includes 15 representatives, with districts split based on population numbers. I'm proud to live in District 8, and I look forward to representing you beginning in 2024! Where is District 8? District 8 is bordered (roughly) by the lake to the west; Cameron Parish and Gauthier Road to the south; Nelson, Elliott and Lincoln roads to the east; and Sale Road and Prien Lake Park to the north.
This year, there are a few new changes to the district that will go into effect this election cycle. Precinct 372 (south side of Ham Reid between Elliott and Nelson) will no longer be part of District 8.
